Editorial Standards

CRE News Today publishes commercial real estate news and analysis for industry professionals. The credibility of our coverage depends on accuracy, transparent sourcing, and a clear line between editorial and paid content. This page explains how we work.

How we source our reporting

Our coverage is built from primary and authoritative sources: company and brokerage announcements, public records, regulatory filings, and established commercial real estate trade publications. Every news story is intended to link to the primary source it is based on so readers can verify the underlying facts and read further.

We aim to attribute specific figures — sale prices, square footage, cap rates, vacancy and occupancy data — to the source that reported them. Analysis and market context are clearly distinguished from reported facts.

Accuracy & corrections

We work to get every detail right, and we correct mistakes promptly. If you spot an error — a misstated figure, a misidentified party to a transaction, or anything else — please email contact@crenewstoday.com with the article link and the correction. Verified errors are updated as soon as possible, and material corrections are noted on the article.

Editorial independence & sponsored content

Advertising and sponsored content never influence our editorial coverage. Any paid or sponsored article is clearly labeled as sponsored and kept separate from our news reporting. Sponsored placements and partner links are marked accordingly. To learn about working with us, see our advertising options.

Use of technology

We use software tools to monitor sources, organize coverage, and draft and format articles efficiently. Published reporting is reviewed for accuracy against its sources before it stays live, and our corrections process applies to all content regardless of how it was produced.
