Colliers continues to expand its capital markets division by bringing aboard investment sales broker Justin Arzi, who arrives from CBRE after nine years. According to Commercial Observer, Arzi has taken on the role of senior vice president within Colliers' New York capital markets operation.
Arzi steps into a group that includes Managing Directors Dylan Kane and Zach Redding. The hiring follows Colliers' recognition as the commercial real estate industry's fastest-growing capital markets platform last year, as measured by MSCI data.
"Justin is an outstanding addition to our team and another example of the strategic investments Colliers is making across our New York business," Redding said in a statement.
Key Details
During his tenure at CBRE, where he held the title of vice president in the capital markets group, Arzi built a track record of marquee Manhattan investment sales. He facilitated Extell Development's $39 million acquisition of an eight-story office property at 165 East 56th Street in May. Gary Barnett's Extell purchased the building from the American Jewish Committee.
Arzi also arranged the $60 million off-market transaction at 155 Mercer Street in 2023, in which Thor Equities and ASB sold the property to Weybourne Holdings.
Colliers highlighted its own recent momentum as context for the hire. Over the past year, the brokerage has handled multiple investment sales in Manhattan, including several office-to-residential conversions. Among them was the October 2025 sale of 29 West 35th Street for $25 million to former Silverstein Properties CEO Marty Burger, part of a broader $70 million capitalization and the first building transaction under a new Midtown South rezoning framework designed to encourage office-to-residential conversions.
Prior to joining Colliers this month, Arzi earned a spot on Commercial Observer's Top Young Professionals list in 2023.
"Joining Dylan, Zach and the broader Capital Markets team represents an exciting next step in my career," Arzi said in a statement. "They have built a collaborative and dynamic platform that is attracting top talent across the industry and I am ready to hit the ground running."
John Gallagher, executive managing director at Colliers, emphasized the broader hiring strategy: "The growth we're seeing across New York is a direct reflection of the talent we're attracting to Colliers. Justin's expertise, experience and strong reputation in the industry will help us continue to expand our platform."
Why It Matters
The move underscores an ongoing talent war among major brokerages looking to capitalize on evolving New York investment sales cycles. For CRE professionals, Colliers' aggressive recruitment of established producers from rival firms signals a serious push to gain market share in a competitive landscape. As office-to-residential conversions and rezoning initiatives reshape parts of Manhattan, brokers with experience navigating complex transactions across property types are becoming increasingly valuable. Arzi's portfolio of off-market deals and institutional relationships positions Colliers to pursue a wider range of assignments in this shifting market.
