NewQuest and Transwestern Investments are advancing construction of the retail portion of Kyle Park, a 101-acre mixed-use development at Interstate 35 and Bebee Road in Kyle, Texas. The partners announced their joint venture and construction milestone in an October 27 statement.

The planned lifestyle center totals approximately 412,588 square feet. NewQuest will oversee development, leasing and property management; Transwestern Investments is the capital partner and co-sponsor.

Transwestern described the retail space as largely leased and named tenants including Dick's Sporting Goods, Burlington, HomeGoods, Ulta Beauty, TJ Maxx, Barnes & Noble, Boot Barn and EōS Fitness. It did not provide a leased percentage.

Earlier work and delivery target

The announcement follows months of work on the wider development. In an August 25 update, NewQuest said infrastructure construction had been underway since February and that retail site work would expand in September.

That update targeted September 2027 for storefront delivery to tenants for interior completion. Tenant handover is a different milestone from store openings or completion of the entire development. The October announcement did not give a new retail opening date.

Transwestern Development is planning a future multifamily phase, according to the latest statement. Hotel uses also remain part of the broader plan.
